I have these lifters which I was told are Comp(no box or part number) and 6 have an extra groove and 6 do not. Can anyone confirm which ones go where? I noticed with oem all 12 have the extra groove.

That extra groove doesn't have any function. It is probably just a different manufacturer. Personally I would go with Hylift-Johnson lifters.

Thanks yeah you are probably right I looked at them more closely and the rest is slighly different too. I noticed the ones with the extra groove you can shake and hear something rattle inside. Like a ball valve maybe.
