I have a new spring and pin, also a new timing chain cover. Just wondering if I should use a solid pin? This is a new build with Hesco rovb cam and cloyes double roller chain?

If I understand your question correctly, the pin is solid.
The Jeep part number is 8350 2890. That includes the bolt, spring, and pin.

Russ. I did not make my self clear, I have a new spring and pin and my question was would I be better off replacing with a longer solid pin and no spring to control camshaft end play?

X 2,
The OEM bolt, spring, dowel works quite well.
I see no need to replace something that works

I would go the solid pin route. Myself and others have found that sometimes the stock setup doesn't do shit. Not always though, but I would rather take the extra time to do the solid pin now then find problems later.
