99+ intake mods?

Is it possible to modify the late "curved" intake manifold for a 4 barrel carb?

Is it room on the top to get a mounting pad welded on there and if so in what direction would it work best for flow and distribution into the runners?

Asking just because I think that the 99+ intake manifold is the closest we can get to have a "tuned" manfold, the Offy intake I have is really a nightmare in terms of even distribution to all cylinders, 1 & 6 seems to be lean,2 & 5 is almost good and the 3 & 4 seems to be very rich when looking at the combustion chambers and sparkplugs on my old head, the 99+ intake looks like it would work better with almost equal lenght runners going in to the plenum seperatly and not like the Offenhauser that is divided only the last 4-4.5 inches.

Has to ask here since it's not that common to find an intake here in Sweden,so for me to go to a salvageyard and pick one up just for messuring is not that simple,it took me almost 3 years to find a HO head that was for sale, and a intake won't be any easier i think, but IF it's possible to modify one atleast it would be some sort of meaning to search for one...

The '99+ intakes are 'tuned' to flow just air and ? even distribution.
I guess nobody knows how it will flow as far as even distribution with a 4 barrel carb.

It does sound like a worthwhile project.

I think it would work if you welded closed the injector bosses and added a carb adapter to the manifold flange.
The '99+ intake is similar in design to this 4-barrel carb manifold that was used in Aussie slant sixes:
