is the 4.2 center style sump better/worse then the 4.0 rear sump? it seems they can be swapped either way if you have the correct pickup tube. what is everybodys thoughts on this?

They are designed to fit a particular chassis, as is the exhaust, and most of the bolted on accessory's for that matter.

the 4.2 I got came from a 85cj the 4.2 in my 90yj has the rear sump pan.
