Russ Pottenger Stroker Build

I've got a little bit of noise in my 95 which I think could be a cracked flexplate or timing chain. Engine runs ok, but the noise bugs me. So, to make the jeep reliable so we can take it on long trips I figured I'd freshen up the motor. Engine/trans is the only thing I haven't touched in the rig. I've also helped with the Team Naxja Cherokee, and am familiar with Russ's engines so I gave Russ a deposit and put my name on the list. Got a teaser photo of the cylinder head a few weeks ago, so I went up to his shop to check on the progress. He does _REALLY_ nice work. Here's some of the specs on the motor. My "instructions" were good quench, run on 87 octane, and pass smog.
Build is a 91-95 HO block
7120 head
99+ port matched intake.
Comp Cams custom grind 68-231-4 on 113 LSA
4.2 rods
custom dished silvolite pistons for a 9.25:1 CR
He's telling me around 280ish for HP, and says I'll be happy. My biggest "want" was the ability to climb these long hills out here in California without slowing down or having to downshift.
Cylinder head is "slightly massaged" by Russ. He's done the following:
port match
Bowls
short side radius
chambers
Valves are LS1 Manley swirl polished tulip valves.
You can see in the pictures where he's reworked the chamber to unshroud the valve so it can get good flow around the larger 2" valve.
Here's some images. His shop didn't have the best lighting for photographs, and I was using a macro lens so depth of field isn't very deep but I did get some good details.
