Ax15 swap to aw4 trans.

Hey everyone , I am wanting to go to automatic trans . I have a 94 wrangler with a 4.6 stroker and ax15 trans thinking about going to a aw4 automatic trans with a manual shift. Also going to install a 4" lift and run 33/1250/15 tires . With a 3.73 gear. Just need your all opinion on this. Do you think that the aw4 is a good automatic trans for this set up ? Thanks !

I just got done with swapping in an aw4 in my wrangler. I used the rad designs baja and rock shifter. My biggest problem was that the driveshaft would have been too short with my standard sye kit and I needed to reclock the transfercase bolt holes.. I ended up getting the JB conversions super short SYE. I have 2.5" suspension lift, 1" body, and a flat belly skid plate. I'm very happy with the swap, but the manual shifting of an automatic driving on the streets takes a learning curve.
