Reputable shop near Indy to dish Keith Black pistons?

I've tried a couple different shops, including Schmidt Racing, to get my IC945 pistons dished a little(build plans changed and can't use that much compression), the best I was told they could do was machine it off the top. I believe mostly they don't want to touch them because they probably know nothing about this piston, and don't feel comfortable doing it. Any suggestions on a place that is?

If they are still NIB, why not just sell the 945s and buy a set of 944s? The loss on the sale of the 945s is probably not much different than the cost to machine them.

I tried that, about a year ago. Posted here, NAXJA, Comanche Club, Jeep Forum, Pirate, and JeepSpeed. Never even got a peep of interest on any of the sites. Tried contacting Summit to exchange them, no go, been too long.

So here I am. Stuck with these pistons, trying to figure out how to use them. I would probably be fine if I ponied up for a Hesco Aluminum Head, but I don't have that kind of cash. so my next option is to try and drop compression where ever I can: ported combustion chambers, thicker head gasket. Maybe then I might be able to mix in a couple gallons of e85 into a tank of premium, I can make it work, but I would have to plan ahead when I needed to fill up.

I would first contact KB and see if they even recommend dishing the pistons further.

Do those 945s go with 4.2 or 4.0 rods? What's the dish volume? I might interested in taking them off your hands for ya

They go with the longer 4.0L rods and the dish volume is 10.8cc.
