Mopar Spring P5249464 Alternatives

Post by DeflatedTire »

I replaced the cam on my stock 2005 4.0L.
Long story short, after the synchronizer gear wore out the teeth on my stock cam I replaced it with comp cams 68-232-4 cam.

With intake valve lift of 0.46 and exhaust lift of 0.476.

The plan was to use the mopar springs PN P5249464. However everywhere I turn seems to have them back ordered. Originally they were supposed to be shipping today or tomorrow, however they have been pushed back another month at the earliest it seems.

I am trying to figure out if a different combo of springs, lifters, rods etc. will work. Or if at this point just take the head to a machine shop and call it a day.

The only thing done to the motor is the cam at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
