Jeep Strokers

I have the ones from 505 on my stroker the purple adjustable ones that are barred in pairs to avoid the need for guide plates. I need a set of 8 for my 401. Heads are milled for screw in studs and guide plates. I would like to run the same setup so I don't have to use guide plates. Does anyone else besides 505 make them? I'd rather eat glass than buy from those crooks again.

The ones the 505 sells as "theirs" are Harland Sharps anodized purple instead of the Harland orange. Correct they are the Harland Sharp's. I bolted up the stock set off my AMC 360 to the 4.0 and they were identical, so presumed the v8/I6 aftermarkets were the same. I looked on HS site and did not see the link bars. I will call them and ask as they actually do work out quite nicely and avoid the PITA of lining up the guide plates. My purple set on the stroker are 1.7 ratio but other than that.....

All of those that I linked clearly show the link bar and hole in the rocker trunnion.

Cr@p Silver I missed the hyperlinks in your reply. I see it now the little tie bar between them is in the photo. Cool Ill just order the adjustable v8 set. I have adjustable ones on the stroker from 505/HS but according to Zach's email when I purchased them he is telling me they are 1.7 ratio? Is that BS you think? Guess I can measure the lift at the valve once I get the engine back in one piece to confirm. I was hunting for a 1.7 adjustable tie barred set for the 401. Thanks again for the info man much appreciated.

Harland Sharp doesn't list a 1.7:1 rocker. Probably best to contact them to see if they ever made any for 505. I wouldn't doubt that 505 is giving false information.

Those look like the rockers doublins was using, but I thought he said they were Mopar Perf.. Anyway, if they weren't, maybe that was some of his problems(?). Maybe they are v8 parts(?).

These: http://www.shop.505performance.com/cate ... egoryId=37 are Harland Sharps. Mopar performance are different. The slot is longer and they have a curve to them.

These are the Mopar Performance rockers. Its hard to see but there is a slight, gradual curve from over the top. They also have a single solid shaft joining the two. They are also the only ones I have seen break.




These are Harland Sharp adjustable v.1 rockers (more on that later), They have a straight top and are joined by a thinner pin:


This pic shows the Harland Sharps adjustable with a Yella Terra. Yella Terra's also have a single shaft joining them like the Mopars. However I have never seen then be any color except clear.

I though I had an image of Harland's newer (v.2) adjustable rockers, but I can't find it. Its a cross between the adjustable and non adjustable. Same body with the angle change on top as the non adjustable but with an adjuster added... i'll have to get a pic of these.

What's the casting # on you V8 heads?, my 304, 343 360 and 401 all have the early "stud" style rockers, they require no guide plates.

IIRC the push rod holes in the head act as the guide on those heads.

What exactly are these? Says Mopar Perf, and also says Harland???. They look like the Harlands from 505(?).

I'll check my V8 casting numbers tomorrow. They came off my 1990 AMC 360. I had them re-worked for oversized 7/16 studs and milled for guide plates. Also just as in my I6 stroker I'm using the Trick-Flow 3/8 push rods.
