so the only difference between the five-o recommended injectors and say another set of standard mustang injectors is the ev1 or ev6 connector? I see many connector adapters that plug between for sale on ebay...wouldn't that work, too? I mean it is probably easier and cheaper to get the 24lb mustang ones on ebay...then just by six adapters?

Re: Need Injector Help
The problem is that the '00+ computers are programmed to maintain a 14.7:1 A/F ratio even at WOT (open loop) up to 2300rpm and then go rich. If you use a MAP adjuster to alter the A/F ratio, it'll alter it by the same percentage across the whole rpm range. That's fine if the A/F ratio is fairly uniform across the rpm range but when you have a large variation in A/F ratio at different rpm points (as you do with the '00+ computers), the A/F ratio is going to be off at some of them. The Apexi SAFC (or Unichip) can be used to correct the WOT A/F ratio at specific rpm points where it's needed to bring it to the optimum 13.0:1.Mgardiner1 wrote:Why wouldn't a MAP adjuster work? An air flow controller is just a fancy version of a MAP adjuster. They both modify the the MAP value going into the ECU. An AFC has an advantage of monitoring other things such as throttle % and RPM and adjusting to different %'s of fuel dependant on its input values
