finally got the 4.6 running

I broke my 4.6 in yesterday. I did the cam break in for about 25 min. 2000-2500. The engine never climbed over 210 on the temp gauge and holds around 40-45 psi oil when hot. I would however like to know if the stock factory s rocker arms are any quieter than the aftermarket ones(I am using aftermarket and they are not clacking but just have that sewing machine sound to them).

Roller rockers can be a bit noisy.

sounds like the same as mine it gets a little quieter after a little break in but mine is still there I have about 1200 mi. on it already

It also matters what cam you are running. Cams with a faster rate will be noisy. Comp Cams 231 and 232 tend to be noisy.

Did this get any quieter after break in? How many miles now?

just about 3000 miles now , seems to be getting a lot quieter , still has some noise but nowhere near what it was.
