I sent an Email to Lee Hurley ( President of Hesco) the other day asking about the aluminum lock for the 4.0 He replied that it "was a long way from production"
In the back of my mind i remembered that their was a company that made aluminum blocks for the AMC v8 engines, it was Indy Cylinder headshttp://www.indyheads.com/ These gus make aluminum blocks for alot of engines and the company is much larger than Hesco. I wrote them a Email with my wish list:
Aluminum block, 4 bolt mains, 4" bore version available, better Can supports, clearanced for stroker, Tall deck version should be avialable, and one i thought of later was to have side covers so you could access the lifters like the chevy I6 motors.
Perhaps if anyone else woul have a need for these motors, I would like you to Contact Indy so they can see there is a demand for this product.
By the way, if anybody has AMC V8 motors, they make a killer timing chain civer with a racing oil pump on it, it does cost $1,000 though.
