no he's probably just some lazy slob
Hey I'm just some lazy slob that bores TB's too, but I try to remember that I may have a piece of someone's daily driver that may be needed to get him/her to work every day. I always ask what kind of turnaround is needed/expected upfront, before I take on the job. That way we can work out a schedule that both of us can live with. 3-4 weeks is a long time, especially for an HO TB, not nearly as much work as a RENIX.
I'm not clever enough to have a clever signature. I'll just steal yours.

The entire process (me shipping to you, you boring the TB, you dhipping back to me) took just over a week. I was surprised how quick the turn around was considering I was in no rush (actually at a complete halt right now). Thanks again Dave.

i guess well find out when it gets here. i didnt get any personal email from him. im hoping he'd bored it out. i dont want my money. i just want a bored TB. as long as its what i paid for i dont care as much that it took a month.

since its 2-3 day priority mail itll be saturday or monday when its gets here. tuesday at the latest.

is the easiest way to tell if the work was done is if there is no taper to the bottom of the TB? ill have to break out the calipers to know for sure.

Yes if its not a RENIX TB, then most people just remove the taper. When i do my stroker and go with 91-96 top end, then im going to see if i can get my TB bored out as much as possible...im sure it can go father then just removing the taper.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

without the taper its at 60mm. they say 62mm is as far as you can go without hitting bearings but some say 63mm.

I have a 63mm TB that started life as a OEM 4.0 HO TB. Jeff Leigh did a good job on it.

USPS tracking is useless! Does not change at all during delivery, may not even after its delivered (never checked after I got my stuff). I wouldn't worry about the tracking info USPS gives you, give it a couple more days. I hope that it's bored when you get it back.
