Let me start off by saying I don't have a stroker nor am I building one how ever I'm rebuilding my 96 4.0 block I bored it .040 over and am using...well trying to use comp cam #231-4 and I've spent hours apon hours of trying to figure out the correct springs retainers and keepers. After doing research I figured out...or so I thought which springs retainers and keepers to get. So went onto summit and ordered 5249464 springs 4452032 retainers and 4452031 keepers which I was expecting to work.. I went to install them and the keepers don't fit on the valves right and they don't sit in the keepers like they should. So here is what I'm wondering....has anyone ran into this problem. If so what do I need to get this to work I'm seriously considering droppin a stock cam in it and calling it good but don't want to do that since I've spent a lot of money on this motor so far.

You should be able to use your stock retainers. The valves you have are 3 bead where the retainers you have are single.

You'll need the DCC-4529218 keepers instead.

They're single groove valves. I'm thinkin its cause the jeep was made in 95 but the model year was a 96 this motor has never been apart besides this. I would have seen that they were a 3 groove instead of 1 this isn't my first motor I've built. Just the first that no one sells the correct parts with the cam

I don't know what those locks you purchased are for (listed for a 2.2/2.5L), they are single groove, but not for the 4.0L valve stem. Get the correct ones dino gave.

I will give those a shot cause one of the threads on here said they were the same keeper lol. Another question the retainers are 7dagree and the keepers say 8 is that gonna effect anything?

He already has the correct springs and retainers. He just needs to get the correct keepers.
