I have one in my engine: 4.5 l -89 Renix ,12 cw crank ,258 rods and stock 4.0 pistons.

It's just a "thrown-together-spare-parts" carburated p.o.s that will survive as long as it does "and not a second longer" :D
Everything internally is stock 4.0 except the rotating assembly and the camshaft : every bolt, pushrods, valvesprings and so on,shouldn't work they say say(max lift stock valve-springs = .450) but it does...It WILL go in to valvefloat @ 6000 rpm so that is a limitation performance vise, but it still managed to go 12.94 @ 104 with valvefloat occuring @ the 1000 feet mark "lost some time/speed there".

The camshaft has been with me for some 25 years and it's in it's 3rd engine and still looks good as new,the lifters is another story but I don't care about them since they are of the REEEEAALY cheap kind of crap but they're hanging in there as good as they can...

But all in all it's good camshaft, but if You will use it in a heavy car You probably will be happier with a stall converter but it's working quite allright now that it's in a stroker was kind of sluggish when my engine was a 4.0 so Your 4.7 probably can live with it in one of those tugboat-like Jeeps...

Mines close to 20 years old. Currently not in use, but I would have no reservations about puting it in a new full- race or an injected street application.

I think im gonna try it. It had some surface rust on it but i had the machine at work polish it a lil bit and it came out pretty good. And recommendations on springs, pushrods etc. The block will be decked. 020 head ad minimal taken off.

What vehicle is it going in? Judging by the specs it 'd be a good grind.
