Well now that the stroker is running, I have spare crankshaft sitting in the middle of my floor. Im using the old rods and pistons as book ends and the old timing set as a clock, I was hoping someone could come up with a similar use for the crankshaft. Im thinking lamp but can you guys think of anything else? I dont want to just throw it away, I feel like I would be throwing away part of the Jeep's heart and soul

Well I dont have it yet, but I know it will be fairly easy if you go to the right stores. Check this site:
www.stevenshaver.com He has more timing set clocks than he knows what to do with. So he sells them for exorbitant amounts of money.

use the crank and an old disc brake rotor for a trouble light stand. thats my plan so far. twin 150W halogens should make things easy to see

I'm sending mine off to the crank grinder to keep as a core. If he doesn't want it then it will probably become a boat anchor, door stop, toe stuber lamp or weight in the back bed of a friends truck for the winter.

Boat anchor is a good idea, but I dont have a boat. I tihnk Ill end up going with the lamp. I just need to find a way to not have the cord hang down all sloppily.

Bolt a old flywheel on it, stand it on end, and attach a mail box

Or use an old flywheel for a foot, make a nice metal tray for the top, attach it with the nose screw, and you've got a fun (and potentially very useful) heavyweight occasional table for use out in the shop!

make a lamp out of it, route the wire through the oiling holes in the journals.
Would need a nice wide base, an old flywheel seems to be a popular choice, or attach it to an end table.
