Fuel system and cooling system
I am still new to the stroker world so far I'm loving it. But I'm in need of a little help. I have done some reserch on the fuel system, and everything I have found tells me I need to run 24 lb injecters. But nothing tells me want regulater to go with. Or if the fuel pump will support the injecters. Right now I am just running the stock fuel system but I know that I am losing a lot of performance doing that. Can anyone help me out?
I also a Have been having some overheating problems. everything on the system is new exept the temp sencor and the hoses. I have a full metal triple core radiator. I have tried to burb the top hose, that didn't work. I'm am now thinking it might be the sencor or that it is running lean. Any suggestions?

You don't need to do anything to the fuel system. And you really can't use an adjustable regulator w/o a wideband o2 gauge. Same with saying its lean, your just really guessing. Keep in mind that a fresh engine will make a bit more heat as everything seats. Also, there is some debate if a 3 core is better at cooling that a 2 core. What water pump are you using?

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
My water pump is one from autozone. And im running the stock recomended themastat. As for the running lean it was a guess because of what I read about the 24 lb injecters. By the way thanks for replying.

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
If you have a stroker you'll definitely need Ford 24lb injectors at a minimum. You can keep the stock regulator and use a MAP adjuster to make fine adjustments to the fueling. You'll need a wideband O2 sensor and AFR gauge though to do it properly.467076rcolton wrote:It's a 95 Cherokee

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
I tried to run it with 24 lb injecters when I first finished it, and it didn't run. is that do to not having the wide band o2 sencor and gauge?I just don't want to dump a bunch of money into something that isn't going to work.

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
Correct me if I'm wrong. A wide band o2 and gauge only let's you see whats the air fuel ratio is and doesn't let you adjust it. Sorry lm still new at some of this, and I don't see how that would help

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
That's correct. You'll need to know where your A/F ratios are in order to determine what adjustments are needed.467076rcolton wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong. A wide band o2 and gauge only let's you see whats the air fuel ratio is and doesn't let you adjust it.
BTW, my fuel system is stock except for Ford 24lb injectors. I'm also using the stock ECU with a homebrew MAP adjuster set just above stock voltage at 5.3v. My engine runs great so if yours didn't run at all with the same injectors, something else must be wrong. Did you index the distributor?

Re: Fuel system and cooling system
Yes, it won't let you adjust anything. But you need to see what is happening before you can do any changes.
