Comp cam 68-232-4 with crower camsaver 66031x-12

Post by Reeb »

Has anyone mixed cams and lifters? I was looking at a set of crower camsaver lifters and wondered if they would work with a comp cam 68-232-4 cam.

No problem mixing lifters and cam. However, Comp and Crower do not use the same brand of lifters. Crower uses Hylift-Johnson and Comp uses something else but nothing impressive. I recommend the Hylift-Johnson lifters.

Dissection of various lifters: http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... f=5&t=1262

The Hylift-Johnson lifters also came highly recommend but a person that knows a whole lot more about lifters and cams than I do.

Thanks again BTW I did order installed a set of the crower cam saver lifters and have already broke the cam in with them. All this has made me happy about the decision I made on lifters. Again thank you
