I got my engine in, everything is hooked up one way or another, There is one 3 peice connector with only two wires that is wrapped up with my injector wiring that I can find a connector for. I know my tps, map, mat, cps, knock, coolant, sync sensors are all hooked up. This is an 87 renix jeep with the 4.7 using the renix block and a 96 head intake

It cranks with spark and fuel, it will back fire will never actually catch and go.

Parts from rpm machine
258 scat crank
renix block
96 head
cam kit stage 1
Computer compatible camshaft set up for use with stk valve

I've seen this before and maybe it's your problem. If your Jeep ever had the CPS Bypass done on it, they were supposed to cut off the old plug for the cPS. Sometimes they didn't and you can inadvertently plug your CPS back into the old plug.

You might wanna check that the distributor is indexed correctly and you haven't inadvertently installed it 180* off.

Agree with Cheromaniac.. probably improperly indexed distributer.

After man more hours playing with it I figured out that because of my new cam, i had to change my dis indexing and I kept trying to index it to stock so when i moved it a couple teeth over it fired right up. As long as someone controlled the tps that is.
