4.0 mpi head swap. no spark:(

Post by lostnorweegian »

hi. im doing a 4.0 head and fuel injection on my 76 cj.
I have the wiering harness out of a 93 wrangler. got all my sensors and everything hooked up today.
however when i crank it i have no spark. i measured with ignition turned on i have 12v at the coil.
all i have hooked up otherwise is the three grounds from the ecu pin# 5,11 and 12. got pin# 3 at b+ and pin# 9 at ignition power.

all i can think of that could cause me to not have any spark is the park/neutral switch.
on my schematic it says that the park neutral switch is pin# 30 at the ecu but not where it goes.
does know how to "trick" the park neutral switch. Or have any other ideas to what might be the problem?

I really appreciate any help i could get before i tear my hear out thinking about this.

the neutral safety wire goes to the neutral/park output on your tranny if its an auto. otherwise you can just ground it or wire a fancy clutch wire for starting.

Are you just using the ecu with no pcm (relay board)?
