PCM Question

I'm doing researching my first stroker and think I've decided on the "poor man's stroker" or 4.6L low-buck stroker. My question is about the PCM. Can you use the factory PCM or do you need to get a different one? also I've read about adjustable MAP sensors, some need it and some don't. I'm stroking a 1994 YJ.

Factory is perfectly fine along with proper sized injectors. As you said an adj map can help fine tune under wot

I'm running the factory PCM and you can do the same. Just get the correct size injectors (Ford 24lb'ers) and the fuel curve will be very close. I needed to enrich mine a bit further by raising the MAP voltage slightly higher than stock to 5.3v but your results may differ.

I'll echo above. Factory PCM + larger injectors will be fine. If you like fine tune with a MAP adjusted or any one of the piggy back tuners. Keep the cam fairly mild and the PCM will be fine.
