can someone run these #'s

Post by RAPTORFAN85 »

Flash, I know that you have a "digi dino"
could you or somenone else run these nombers for me?

It's for the stock 96- ho cam EXCEPT that it has the higher lift because I am adding the
Yella Terra 1.7 roller rockers.

Just want some idea what the changes will be compared to stock.

thanks
jake

I would be happy too.............But as i have told other, this is the busy time of year for me.(Running, Building, maintaining hour local Drag Strip) so you will have to be patient. ;)

It takes a bit to run the program and even longer to convince the program to release the info :smack:

Hmmmm not sure how to play this one :?:

If i input the cam spec .....
IVO: 20 deg ATDC (0.050" lift)
IVC: 28 deg ABDC
EVO: 16 deg BBDC
EVC: 4 deg BTDC

and then input your lift numbers .433/440
It computes a, @.050 duration of 228/200 (intake/exhaust)
Over lap come out to 24 instead of the 43 that you gave above
LCA is 95 instead of the 107 :?:

Now if i do it the other way and us the @.050 duration ................. and your lift........................

Hmmm something is just not right with these numbers.............

Jake, Double check these numbers and get back to me.

Yeah dual and single patterns make a difference!
Them ### are much better..........

Adding this ..
ADVERTISED
IVO BTDC 14DEG
IVC ABDC 62DEG
EVO BBDC 50DEG
EVC ATDC 30DEG

and this.....
lift intake .433
lift exh. .440

MY cam calc came up with the rest.......which is the same as the rest of you spec's............so i think this is a much more accurate one.

Here ya go!

THANK YOU FLASH!

I know that you said you are busy so it is much appreciated!

those #'s look pretty good to me.
WOW! almost 260lbs ft. of tourque at 1500rpm! Thats what i wanted to see.
Not too worried about the lower hp #'s but its good to see the torque #'s so high at lower rpm's, thats what I wanted!

As i have said before these numbers are high!!!!!!! don't get to hung up on them!

A desk top dyno or the dyno sim that i use, is grate for comparing different parts............such as one cam to another.
Just don't get too caught up in the numbers.....................................................

I know, I am aware of that.
I am happier with the flatness of the torque curve over the hard numbers.

thanks again flash
