I'm getting ready to have a 4.6L started, but need a good reputable machinist to do the metal work before I can do the assembly, and I'm hoping some one out there has a few recommendation in the south bay area California that can help me on my way. The local shop in Gilroy wants about $1K for the short block.

RPM Machine in fresno, granted a little ways away, is probably one of the best shops in NorCal. He has the newer Rotler machine that bores and decks in one set up. I took my big motor there and had the lifter bores bored as well (all in one set up) so that everything is parallel and perpendicular to eachother. Doubt it will be that cheap though.....
