Emissions fail EFI

Post by Pedestrian »

I swapped the fuel injection from a 94 GC onto an 81 CJ5 but failed emissions. High hydrocarbons and high NOX. I suspect that I have the timing off and possibly the O2 sensor too close to the manifold as I installed it in the existing plug in the factory 4.2 manifold.
I know the timing is PCM controlled, can somebody tell me what full advance should be and at what RPM?
Also how far from the collector should the O2 sensor be?

Sorry about the duplicate thread. I'd delete it i I knew how.

Disregard the timing advance question I will reset the static timing per instructions found on this forum.

With a timing light at idle, or when using my DRB, I usually see 12* of advance.
