Built up a 4.7L, rollertip rockers, stainless steel LS1 valves, comp cam, ported head, all the usual engine mods along with building up a 42RE with guts from a 46RH, and built up the transfer case with wider chain and sprockets, short SYE, etc, etc. all in a Wrangler. So when it came time to cool it, how do you mount three temperature sensors to separately operate two electric fans, one in front and one behind the radiator, and the pcm?

Well you start with a block of aluminum..........

and you start drilling, turning and milling

That real nice but the stock sensor location(s).Theromstat housing, back of the head and the side of the block, drivers side just above the engine mount might of worked also. The block is tapped 3/8 NPT and a sender simply screws in place.

The Renix 4.2`s used that spot for a temp sensor and the hole is carried over to the 4.0`s.

But then I wouldn't of had an excuse to play with my mill and lathe :D Actually, I looked for additional existing ports and didn't find the ones on the head and block you mention.
