I would appreciate a little help if you guys can tell me if my stock cam is still good its out of a 1998. The cam bearings surfaces are all within spec but Im not sure about the lobs? The tappets only have a very slight concave to them hard to even see And I have kept them all in order. DO u guys think I can reuse it for my mild stroker? maybe have them polished?

It doesn't look bad, but being that the lifters now have a concave face I wouldn't use it.

well it has 160,000 miles on it. my worry is this whole cam failure that everyone talks about with aftermarket cams. Do i just find a stock replacement from advance auto or napa or do i need to go to mopar and spend 500$ on a factory replacement?

The cam looks fine so I think you can go ahead and reuse it but with new lifters. Then do the normal break-in as if you have a new cam.

I believe that part number ends with AC now... I used the next one up.. the 229AC... With both those cams, you can use stock Springs. I purchased new stockers with no issues so far on the cam.
