Anyone knows this turbokit?

Hi to all. I have found on ebay this turbokit from PHAB: "4.0L Custom Package 1997 4L Turbocharger Wrangler Kit Turbo Jeep PHAB I6 New TJ" (link below).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160755065996?it ... 8c&vxp=mtr
I can be interested, because it cost less than the 505 performance turbo kit. Anyone has bought it or has tested it in anyway?
But I see also there isn't any fuel menagement, so I've sent an e-mail to the seller to ask him about electronics...

I have never seen it nor heard of it. The header looks like an APN, or Banks (APN is a Banks copy).
It looks interesting and a well though out kit. However I don't see any kind of fuel management (which you mentioned). Nor will it fit an XJ.

interesting but i wouldnt bother using the majority of the parts as they are junk. theres LOTS of info on pretty much any car forum of the results of using ebay turbo kits... some have made out ok, most not.
i would suspect that cracking on the exhaust somewhere may occur as im unsure how well supported the turbo is on the piping. also for 2k, you could likely mimic this kit with correct/better parts that work.

A good thing on his kit, for me, is that all parts of the exhaust pipe is included from the header to the link of the catalyzator.
Another good thing is that thee is an intercooler included... Turbocharged engine of italian car like Fiat or Lancia, without intercooler, run very bad, maybe of its few cubics inches (higher rpm, lower torque), than american cars.
About the price... Maybe in USA you can find the mechanical parts you need next your home's door

(I envy you), but here, modifying cars isn't a "famous world" and only few people do this, exoecially for modify the engine. It's only one of the reasons because I want to come in USA. To understand... Here an intercooler can costs $ 400-700, a turbocharger $ 1300-1800... For example, some time ago, I've found here a seller that sell a header for the 4.0L at about €1000 - $ 1300!! Maybe he pay this $ 150-200.
So for Italy this kit is very inexpensive.
For now, I have to find a block for my future stroker engine, but maybe when I'll finish this, I can buy this or another better turbo kit.
The lack of electronic can be a big problem. But the seller in some ways has to explain the operation of this kit.
He hasn't still answer my mail... When will do this, I'll up the thread.

The seller has answer to my e-mail:
He says that the kit hasn't any electronics. So I''ve ask how the customers do to have a good AF ratio.
He has answer that customers bought a 2 bar map sensor and then dyno-tune the system.
I think I can buy this, with a Split Second Fuel and timing management. I've seen this electronics cost 499$, and is fully programmable by a PC. Also I have a Win7 car-pc in my Wrangler, so I can program it "on the fly".
Or I can test a 2 bar map sensor with the adjustable circuit, and a larger injectors... I have to think about.
Now the issue are the injectors.. My project is a 4.6 with turbo. I don't know the right value for this, I've found a bosch 36lbh from a mustang. Maybe it will be good or it's better a 42 lbs that I've seen on ebay?

His reply doesn't say about taking care of the PCM. I would stay away.
Split Second isn't on the fly. Takes a few minutes to load and then you need to restart. AEM FIC is on the fly.

Thanks, I've told Split Second because I've read about it on the 505 performance site in Turbo System page. So I've think it's good. I take a look on AEM FIC, to see the right item for this use, and to see the price...

The 2 things I don't like about the system are: 1) The intercooler is mounted on top, and not in front where there is less heat and more air. 2) The turbo is mounted far away from the headers, which will cause a lot of turbo-lag (the amount of time before the turbo produces enough pressure). With the turbo mounted where it is, I don't feel like this would be much fun off-road. It's much better suited for high rpm street driving.

I have already think about the position of intercooler, but mount it in front or rear of the water radiator isn't a problem. I've seen that from radiator to the jeep's griddle there is a space to mount.
I use this wrangler to some car-show, and for street performance. For off-road I have another car, with a friend of mine, half is mine and half is of him.
In the past I used tis wrangler for off-road, but now, after an accident, I've painted it with a new look, I've changed all suspension parts, I've re-make all interior items like door-panel etc.

The AEM FIC is worlds ahead of the Split Second. I have a Split Second which I purchased prior to learning about the FIC. Its siting unused in a box here.
