91 YJ VSS wiring for 2000 4.0 harness

My engine is a 2000 (obd2) 4.0, going into a CJ. When wiring the 2-pin '91 YJ VSS to the 3-wire TJ VSS harness, which wires go to which pin?

2000 TJ Harness:
Brown/Yellow-------sensor ground
Violet/Orange-------5v supply
White/Orange-------VSS Signal

So say you'e looking at the vss connection port, with it at 12 o'clock and the bolt hole at 6.
Which wire goes to which pin? And the third is capped I assume, or grounded if the br/yl?

Also, anyone know of a source for the plug cheaper than what Hesco wants (~$20)? JY I know, but the odds of finding a 91 YJ around here is slim.

bringing up a real old thread here. I have the 91 Cherokee harness and the 94 4 cyl VSS sensor, it has both the electrical and mechanical connection. Thing is, the harness has 3 wires, ground, 5v and return. The plug for the VSS is only 2 wires, which ones do I connect to? :banghead:
