Hello.
Anyone have experience with the SEALED POWER PISTONS (P/N: 677AP)? They have a compression height of 1.585.
I measured the deck height and found that the front measures 9.4475 and the rear at 9.450.
With the 232 crank and 4.0 rods, these pistons will be approximately .010-.0125 out of the hole.
So if I use the stock .052 head gasket I'd have a .040 quench.
Right? Please advise.
Still a lil ways away from ordering that camshaft btw.

If you all thought that the old AMC 232 I6 crankshafts were only destined for scrapheap oblivion, think again. There are plenty of them around and with a 3.500" stroke, you can use them to convert a stock 4.0L engine into a 4.2L mini-stroker. Yeah, a machine shop should be able to do that for you.

The 258 cranks were the only ones offered with a 12 counterweight option.
The early 64-71 232 crankshaft had a flat rear flange.
Later 72-79 casting 3214722 came with the centering ring.
That's the one you want. It has a 2.500 length snout, so you'll have to shorten it or use one of my $35.00 spacers.

How much dish can be taken out of the silvolites with this combo? Ie: down to what compression can we get to for a boosted application.

I've safely increased the dish to 26cc.
... That said if your planning to add boost, a forged piston upgrade would be advisable. At that point it would make more financial sense just to step up to a 4.6/4.7 build.

Hmmm. Well, already I already have block back from machine shop and 232 crank polished and 4.0 rods set up for mini striker. Was just tossing around the idea of putting the m90 I have in my garage in it. Still yet to order piston and camshaft. Something to think about I guess.

If you already have your crankshaft and rods ready to go then maybe a custom 4032 forged piston might be worth considering under the circumstances.
The modified cast piston you're looking like $200.00 for the set or the Forged $495.00
I'd be more than happy to assist in either direction.
