What's wrong with the stock ones?

XJ, but I run brown dogs. Their support is excellent. I have no experience with MOREs though.

Are the 105k stock mounts up to not just my abuse, but the added horsepower and torque? I don't know. I thought it would be a wise choice to upgrade to prevent problems. What do you think?

My stock mounts have 147K on them and I have no intention of replacing them?

The only reason to install aftermarket mounts is with 1" height increase in my opinion is due to body lift and needing to keep the water pump fan centered in the fan shroud. The oem mounts are up to the challange irrespective of the new additional torque. I put 35" tires, 4.56:1 gears under my Jeep and that is by far more torque increase than a STROKER will add and it handles it just fine and yes, it has 156k miles on the OEM mounts.

My driver side mount was starting to show its age so I replaced them with Brown Dog. I could probably have gotten a bit more life out of the stock mounts, but since I had it apart (imagine that) i figured I would replace them. I was a little apprehensive about going with a harder mount, but in the end I like the extra bit of vibration it passes from the engine. Just enough to let you know its there. I didn't go with the poly mounts, but their softer ones and just the mounts themselves, not the full kit.

replacement motor mounts are like $5/ea from RockAuto. id throw a new set of those in if youre still on originals.
Brown Dogs are on my shopping list however their entry level kit is under $99, and use the coupon code NAXJA for an additional 10% off. the $330 kit offers new mounting brackets that bolt to the block, which some prefer.

I'm running the MORE Bombproofs in mine. I will never buy those destined to fail unsupported triangle stock mounts ever again. They are a garbage design and can't handle the 4.0's torque, much less a stroker's, and are the culprit for many cracked headers.

I ended up getting the Brown Dog super header kit. My Banks was cracked, so with the new one ordered I thought it would be a good idea. Luckily I still had some warranty left after 6 years, so it was only 77 dollars this time.

I'm sitting here reading the responses and I wonder how many folks are speaking to their experience with a Jeep Wrangler from 1997-2006 in their replies?
I have heard of motor mount problems with XJ's but not TJ's.

The only motor mount issue on an XJ is a certain year range that they did not tapping the bolt holes in the block correctly. Resulting in bolts not fully tightening and eventually snapping. Nothing really special or different about a TJ engine mount.

I'm not easy on my Jeep, so I think its a good thing. Especially with it helping the header not crack as easily or as often.

I just have 1" JKS poly motor mounts, the brown dog engine brackets look super beefy, and I will probably invest in them once I finish all the work on my stroker. Going from '97 stock mounts with 112k to poly was a night and day difference. So many vibrations stopped and the engine felt firmly planted on the frame.
MORE specifies that their engine brackets do not work with aftermarket headers, Brown Dog I think will.
