Hey guys. Tinga here. Finally got the heep back a few months ago. Other than running a bit cool K throwing a code saying operating temp was too low) been running fine. Yesterday we went muddin and now we notice oil leaking from the passengers sidrea and collecting near the rear spark plug. The topof the VC also has alihtco of oil. We were on some pret good cines. Any chance the rollrrokrs threw some up past the baffe? We left the baffle in an have th hesco VC spacer.

Possibly the valve cover or spacer to head seal. How did you seal the spacer to head? The PCV may just be a bad gasket.
As for your cold issue, what t-stat are you running? What temp does the engine run?

The spacer was sealed with an anerobic sealer. Not sure what brand, the machine shop put it on as per the instructions from hesco (they called to confirm)
The thermostat we had was a 190*. It threw a code and we thought it failed open. We changed it again, noticed old one still worked (put in bolied water) so husband noticed that we would code when he would try and run the heater before full operting temp. We normaly run at 200 or so. coolant and rad has been burped. about 4k on motor with all oil changes

Sounds like everything is right. Just inspect like you would for any other oil leak.
Sound like the PCM believes it is taking too long to get up to temp. What is the rest of your cooling system? Maybe put cardboard over part of the rad for cooler months or restrict the flow some how.

Ok, update: NOT a pvc leak.. a tiny pinhole puncture on TOP of the oil filter would shoot a small stream of oil under pressure up to the top of the VC.
everything is okey dokey

We used a Napa Gold filter. Weird that it was juuust the right size to stream to the vc but the underside of the hood was clean?

I have had poor luck with aftermarket thermostats even though they were name brand. Finally went to the dealer and bought a 83501426 stat and my Jeep warms up quickly and maintains 200* even on a long pull.

The check engine light went away bout 2 weeks ago. No codes. Seems letting her warm up to full temp before turning on the heater has done the trick. We might go back to an OEM thermostat
