Which block and head should I use for a 4.6/4.7?

Hey fellas, new to the site and have learned a bunch already. I'm considering building a 4.6/4.7L stroker for my 98 XJ. I have a complete, running early 80's 258 from a CJ available to me for $50.

Now I have a couple different 4.0 blocks/engines layin around. I have an 89 4.0 from a Comanche, 90 4.0 from a cherokee (ran out of oil and sezed, so it's probably junk!) 93 4.0 from a Cherokee and finally a 95 4.0 from a cherokee that had an engine fire, but the block is fine. I'm wondering if any one of these 4 is better than the others, in terms of strength or any other advantage?
The 93 engine is complete, intake to pan, and the 95 has no head. I believe they are the same head, so that doesn't matter? Also I might be getting my hands on a wrecked 2000 XJ with a 4.0 engine, but still waiting to hear back.

Its debatable either way. I personally would use the RENIX era block... but thats just me.

Either one of them will be fine. Might be better to choose the block that matches the year range of the vehicle its going into.

I'd use the one that matches closest, I see absolutely NO advantage to the "RENIX" block, there is some tail about how they have more nickle in them or some CRAP!, one of the guys at work overhauled his Cherokee last spring and that renix block had so much ring ridge that I'm not sure that .060 would have cleaned it up!, I knurled his pistons for him and all he does is bitch about all the blow by!

Ok thanks guys. It's for my 98, so I spose I woud use the 1995 block. I still don't know if I will be getting the 2000 XJ. And the 95 block is already torn down :)
