The sensor and the gear failed? or just the grey sensor and that cup shaped thingy with the window? You did index it correctly.. right? That sensor just controls the fuel sync, so it it wasn't working 100% it could be firing the injectors at the wrong time and will lead to bad performance.

Yah it wiped out the whole top of the oil pump drive. The metal piece with the window cut out and the sensor too.
I did drive it today, and it ran awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for your support and ideas. This sensor malfunction allowed me to check a lot of other stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise checked. And rule out a lot of special mods that I didn't need!!!!!! If anyone needs a good motor combo let me know. This combo ROCKS!!!!!!
