Need Complete Stroker - Which Company?

This is my first post here and I'm really glad to find this site.
I have a '98 Jeep Wrangler TJ and the 4.0 took a dump. I'm going to replace it with a stroker motor but don't know which brand to go with. I need a complete long block with warranty that is a direct drop-in for my Jeep. I need to be able to use 87 octane. I'm open to suggestions on displacement too.
That's about it. I just really need to know who I can trust. I read one REALLY bad review about Titan motors but their prices are right and they have a warranty. Some of the others are getting out of my price range.
Sorry for the newb question. Thanks for any advice.

One? Search harder. NAXJA, Hesco.us forum and here may yield more results.
As for companies to trust: ATK, Hesco, Golen come to mind.

The Golen is sounding like the best option for me so far. I wonder if it's worth having though since I have an automatic with highway gears. The thing is sluggish with 33" tires and I was hoping this motor would help out. Golen is claiming 270hp. I don't know how accurate that is but they seem to have a good reputation.

Their claim should be pretty close to reality provided you have all the other external bolt-ons (CAI, 62mm TB, header, exhaust) to help the engine breathe. Golen do indeed have a good reputation but I'm not sure that they offer a warranty.
If you want a stroker that's sure to outlast your Jeep, Hesco is the way to go but you'll pay top dollar for it.

I have a Titan stroker. I have seen two Titan Strokers with important problems.
Is true that the price is very good, but...

You cant go wrong with an ATK
We have had MANY of our strokers in the BAJA Races and win as well as most of the Jeep Speed Racers engines....now thats a true testimate to quality and reliablity. We have even done well in Dakar.

didnt i read somewhere that atk got the contract for mopar to build strokers for chrysler? chrysler will be offering 4.7l i6's for any jeep sold with a 4.0l .

If you are running a 4.0L without motor issues why wouldn't you change your gearing to return to the correct tire diameter to gear ratio? Personally I would choose a slightly deeper than stock gear ratio that would improve the start stop performance of your Jeep without giving up highway performance.
For Example:
If your Jeep is equipped with 3.73:1 gear ratio now and you had 30" tires and you have now swapped to 33" tires you would now need 4.11:1 gear ratio to maintain stock combination. As I stated, I would choose a slightly deeper than stock gear ratio and option for 4.56:1 as it not that much deeper and IF you go bigger sometime in the future you are good to go with 35" tires being stock for 4.56:1 gear ratio based upon a 3.73:1 gear ratio stock on 30" tires.
If your gear ratio is 3.07:1 and you went to 33" tires, your Jeep is a dog. Changing the gears is MUCH, MUCH CHEAPER than STROKING your motor.

I ran 4.56s and 32s and got 21 mpg highway in my 1988 XJ.. with a 210K mile 4.0l.
it was definitely not sluggish.
the cheap (and very easy) way to re-gear is to find a junkyard 4cyl 5 spd wrangler and take its 4.11 axles.

I found a bunch of fronts and rears for under $500
