To index the distributor see here: http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/dist_index.html. You may need to cut one of the ears if you installed and aftermarket cam
To index the cam sensor (00+ TJ and XJ, 99+ WJ) see here: http://jeep.blackonyx.net/pdfs/jcss.pdf, page 5 of the PDF.
In both cases you need to make sure you are on TDC of the compression stroke of cylinder #1.
