Hello. I know that a 99+ intake manifold is a common "upgrade" on stock 4.0 XJs. Is this some you guys who run strokers also use? I am wondering as I hope to expand my market for things I get and sell from the area junkyards. Thanks

They're good upgrades. I can get them at my JY for $27.

And you're not selling them on here! , they go for better than $100 around here IF! you can get them to take it off of the engine?

Well there's a difference between getting them for $27 and selling them for that. :D By the time one drives to a couple of junkyards sometimes 20 miles up the highway. Pays tolls..Lug your tool boxes all over the junkyards then spend who knows how long fighting one of them things off. Then clean it off a bit ..box it..pay shipping..OY! You can see how it turns into $80-$100 ;)

I put one in my Jeep (1997) without any problem. All things are interchangeable (I don't remeber if with the gasket was different).

Yes, I swapped an '01 XJ intake manifold onto my stroker more than 2 years ago. HP/TQ/MPG numbers were all slightly increased so I'm very happy.

i had to sweat my balls off and pull it myself and still paid 50 cdn for mine. 125 IF you can convince the other local yard to get it (and coax all that money out of your pocket :o )

I got mine for $170... :o with the rest of the complete engine! :P Bought it that way so that I will have three complete engines between two 2000 Jeep Wranglers. Makes for easier swapping an maintaining when things are all the same.

Not real sure what they are selling for at the local salvage yard here in Kansas City.
