Piston style vs quench area

Something that is bothering me is the flat area on the piston vs. quench effect. Take for instance these pistons:

that piston vs the stock style piston (larger flat area, mirror of head combustion chamber nearly), how does that effect quench? In that piston in the picture above all you have is a small outer ring for quench.

with that piston setting at deck hight, quench numbers should be real good.
I thing, i too, will wait for AGRESIVE's explanation as i would only be guessing any ways! :)
