Bryson on Naxja is running on on his turbo 4.0L. It looks like a nice device with a lot of features. I would run it.

I'm running one right now, but it needs lots of time and a partner in crime to tune it. I also bought the ~$150 harness so I could chop it up and solder the F/IC 6 in and at any time I could remove the combo and revert to stock w/ no harm done. I've played with the o2 map and have gotten closed loop afrs down below 14.7:1(some are in the 11s and need to be brought up to 13s). I also zero'd fuel trims in Neutral w/ no load to get a feel of the software and what increments to +/-. I haven't connected the built-in MAP to the manifold yet but do have the stock MAP wired through the AEM. I've been doing a bunch of different work to the Jeep such as playing around with a Corsa exhaust for a couple weeks(went back to my old magnaflow setup), 2AWG main upgrade, 2nd e-fan re-wiring, and other misc. projects. Some of the exhaust needs welding and I'm leaning to V-band it, so want to ensure that there are no leaks before I spend time tuning it.

That reminds me... you have been running a second stock e-fan without problems, right?

well Im glad that there are some people that already running it.

now I heard i need the 30-1913 to work with the jeep. something about the injectors and CEL due to my jeep being OBDII

That is correct. This came from AEM when asked about the SRT4 version vs the universal.
The hardware inside is different to compensate for the injector circuit on the SRT-4's and Dodge/Jeep vehicles in general. Aside from that the units are the same.

I had a ~$17 adjustable temp controller(advance or autozone) running the 2nd fan for a couple years before, but it bit the dust a while back and I've been on one fan this summer up til now. I added a relay to one of the two blank positions in the PDC(ABS), so now my override switch runs both fans. I need to find another relay and isolate the PCM so that I don't get a P1496 CEL when I activate the original(fyrfytr has a good writeup on NAXJA: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1025399 ). Yes, buy the 30-1913 unit because it won't throw a injector CEL like the 30-1910 unit does when you start adding/removing fuel. I ended up paying $315 for the FIC and $145 for the harness. The software is great and you can tune as you go(with my old PSC1, I had to stop the vehicle and wait 2 minutes to write the updated tunes).

Did you notice a difference in the way it drives with the O2 map adjustment? Also, what purpose does the built in MAP serve if you aren't running boost? I'm debating trying to sell my FTC for a decent price and get an AEM.

What didn't you like about the Corsa exhaust?

the map serves no purpose without boost. the whole point of the FIC is to boost obd2 vehicles. that being said I will just leave mine alone, or just run it to double check the factory MAP. You could always buy a turbo off me and go big time.

The Corsa didn't have the sound I was expecting--was middy and raspy when on throttle and poppy on decel(no cat doesn't help). It was quiet when holding throttle on the highway and definitely flowed better since it's a straight through design. The Magnaflow I have is more mellow, bassy, and ballsy. It is a bit more restrictive due to the delta style and does compression brake noticeably more compared to the Corsa(changed my downshifting braking distance). The stroker sounds like a v8--almost an 80's-90's 5.0, w/ it. Watch the recent auto-x footage in the pub section w/ some good speakers and you'll see why I get asked what v8 is in it. Anyhow, I loved the Borla sound better than the Magnaflow, so I'll give an XR-1 a go once I sell the Corsa.
Edit: I'm still getting that slight closed loop pinging as compression builds in closed loop, so think I have to start fooling with the timing. Also, I feel that the tuning would be more correct if I used the FICs built-in map and fed the stock output signal. When I used the PSC1-002 w/ built in 2-bar map, that's how I tuned it. I know it's silly that I sold the tuner-only programable Unichip to get the open-tuning AEM so I could tune it, but I'm leaning towards finding this certain AEM tuning guru in the metro area(from 5 years ago) to dyno-tune it. My Jeep runs great and no issues other than the slight pinging in closed loop, so that's why I'm not too stressed. If you have a conservative-moderate build, the correct size injectors and an adjustable MAP will get you 90%(%pulled out of me arse). I'm chasing that other 10%.

Where did you find the best price?

As far as advice, wire each item separately and test them. Hook up the power first and see if you can communicate with the FIC. Then find the RPM signal and see if that works, etc.

off the srt4 forums, I got one for $80 shipped. guy bought it for his caliber, which is GEMA based, and not mopar like the neons.

as far as one piece at a time, how do I accomplish that with a jumper harness? I was just gonna wire it all on my desk. I also dont know about getting signals and such, until its complete....other thing is I should be able to load it up on the laptop to test it. they say it runs without a power source through USB. Im really pretty much in the dark though

My 96 was slightly different, but this is from Bryson on NAXJA:

ECU pin location - Function
A2: Fused Ignition switch output (pos on)
A6: Ground
A8: Crankshaft position sensor signal (Hall Effect)
A18: Camshaft Position sensor signal (Hall Effect)
A23: Throttle position sensor signal
A24: Upstream O2
A25: Downstream O2
A27: MAP sensor signal
A32: Ground

B4: No. 1 Injector
B5: No. 3 Injector
B6: No. 5 Injector
B12: No. 6 Injector
B15: No. 2 Injector
B16: No. 4 Injector

I can't verify the pinout for other various years, but this is the exact pinout for my 99. Please don't assume it's the same for yours. I can't speak for the renix versions, but all HO Jeeps use Hall Effect for both crank and cam. Don't beleive me, read your FSM.
