Check with your local machine shops for kb944 prices. I got a price of $73.00 per piston x 6 each = $438.00 ... Thats a little better.

Thats a real good idea, Your going to have a machine shop bore your block any ways,............They might be willing to give you deal on the piston, if they are doing the machine work.

Local machine shop has to already be a distributor for KB, correct?

I would thing just being a business they would sell to you/them, with little paper work. Maybe as little as a tax number
