I guess they never heard of spray paint. And they could have at least compared the airsoft gun to the correct Beretta (90-TWO)

Bear in mind - L.A. is the same batch of idiots that held up a Barrett M82A1 when calling for a ban on fifty-calibre rifles because "they're used by gangs" - without thinking of a few things:

- Most legally-owned .50BMG rifles are used in long-range competition
- I dare you to find one for less than two grand (new)
- The average .50BMG rifle runs three to four /feet/ long - a bit big to stash
- How many 'bangers have enough discipline to pull an effective hit outside of fifteen yards, much less fifteen /hundred/ yards?

Of course, LAPD has a few M82s in the Barrett factory for service - which prompted a response from Ronnie Barrett. I don't know if he decided to return the rifles unserviced or just keep them in the first place, but I think his response letter is still up on his site (www.barrettprecision.com, I think.)

The problem is "the nose of the camel" again - incremental banning of firearms, this time working through replicas and "toy." Before anyone accuses me of being paranoid, look at the pattern of legislative activity over the last thirty or forty years, THEN tell me I'm paranoid...
