Oil sending unit calibration

Does anyone know how to check my oil sender for proper calibration? My 98 tj had really low oil pressure with my old motor.I used a melling hv pump in my new motor and had the same pressure as every sbc I've ever built, with melling hv pump.it had 55-60psi anywhere over 1500 rpm and 40 psi at idle hot.after about 2000 miles the pressure started falling, by 3000 miles, after a fresh oil change it was down to 20 psi at idle and 40 max,i feared the worst.I found my oil sender was leaking, so I replaced it, at napa.after the new sender the pressure was up a little at idle, but down every where else.I put a autometer liquid filled mechical gauge in temporarily and have the 55-60 psi I should have, what a releif! Theres no room for another gauge in my jeep so I really want to find a sender that makes my factory gauge close to accurate.is it as simple as buying a factory mopar sender? I'd love to test the ones I have before I spend more money.thanks in advance for any input.
