I built a stroker with,

comp cam
bored .60
7120 head ported gasket matched and polished
99+ intake
fully balanced
crank zeroed out
decked to +.010 above deck
cr 10.25:1
renix system
runs great

renix stock tb

I need a larger tb but not willing to spend $400

what custom diy tb setup could I use? links to build threads would the best help for me since I have searched endlessly with no result that has satisfied me.

Talk to Jeff Leigh@Leigh Performance Machine about sending yours in to be bored to 60mm with a new plate for a good price and a week turn around time: http://www.strokedjeep.com

Did one myself a few years back. Think I used a plate out of an old 2.9l ranger and punched the hole 58mm. You could always make a simple adapter plate and mount a 76mm t.b. off a central port injected G.M., although I never did get the I.A.C. working properly.

Since you have a HO intake and head, you could search ebay for a 62mm HO TB and adapt your TPS to it.

Dont buy anything from xtemefuelinjection,or the throttle shop in austin,tx.
They dont answer the phone or answer messages, they dont respond to emails unless its thru paypal, they have to there,to keep there 1 star ratting on ebay.
I bought a throttle body from them two weeks ago, sent my core to have it bored or have them send me one of theres thats allready bored.the ups tracking #says they received it 6 days ago, they say they never got it.what a joke
Like i said DONT DEAL WITH XTREME FUEL INJECTION IN AUSTIN TX

I had mine done to 61mm by oletshot on this forum, but he no longer does Throttle Bodies.

The best route would be to use a 91+ Intake Manifold and Throttle Body. However if your mentally stuck on using a RENIX, then i might sell you mine since im building a stroker (with 91+ parts). I also have a matching Aluminum 1" spacer, custom built linkage, and longer bolts to make it all work correctly. You can find some pics at the following link:

http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... p?f=5&t=62

Dont forget a bored TB does next to nothing for performance. The Head is what is the bottleneck. A bored TB gives you excellent part throttle response (exaggerates the rate the throttle plate opens). Feels good on your butt dyno.

Since you have a 7120 head and 99 intake the renix TB won't mount to it without an adapter anyway. Just go with a HO TB and adapt the TPS. If you don't want to make the adapter you can buy one from hesco, but beware, its pricey.

I sent one to Jeff Leigh and he bored it to 62 or 63mm based on my engine build....good price...good turnaround.....good machine work...good communication made for a great experience.

The HESCO adapter wasn't cheap but it fit right up and that's worth the price of admission.
