Cylinder Head CC Kit

Im going to CC the head that im getting, and i need a kit to do it. I dont want to buy one to use once or twice .. so if somone wants to loan one for the cost that would be great... or selling one a little less expensive that a brand new one costs...

I could cut you a piece of 1/2" plexi. I doubt you will find anyone that will ship a buret unless its plastic. My glass one arrived broken the first try.

I was thinking of buying the Comp Kit... its only $100 or so... but still im really only going to use it a couple times if that so........ thats a 100 i could spend elsewhere

don't know if this helps but i used a piece of 3/8 plexi and a large industrial syringe with the cc graduations on it . It was a good deal cheaper to do and was within a half cc of what my machinist got.

Scrap Plexiglass, drill a hole or two, go to tractor supply (TSC) and buy a syringe or two and your done! Reinvest the remaining 94 bucks somewhere else!

Petroleum jelly works good, just don't use a whole lot.

Yeah i was afraid of changing the Volume by adding a sealant... but a thin layet of PJ could work great...

When I first saw this thread I thought that I had done it wrong. I just used plexiglass, vasoline, WD40, and a 10cc syringe. I guess that I got a "close-enough" solution with this method, my answer is probably over if anything.

I just picked up one of these kits, great price, nice buret and the base of the stand is a nice chunk of cast iron so its nice and stable.
The one I've seen from Comp doesn't list a MFG class or tolerance on it, this one does, for less than half the price.
