Hello again,
Well I will have all my parts pretty soon and they will start the machining process. So after the engine is built what else do I have to look for? I already have new injectors, 53032704AB is what I went with. Do I need to upgrade my Distributor? What does the timing need to be set at? What about the harmonic balancer? Do I need a MAP adjuster? Anything else I need to be aware of?
I went with:
KB 944 psitons
Stock Rods
68-232-4 CAM
Mopar Performance Valve springs, retainers and locks
SCAT 258 Crank
Thanks

Use the stock distributor but make sure it's correctly indexed:

Your injectors flow ~25lb/hr at 49psi fuel pressure so that's plenty. I don't think you'll need a MAP adjuster (I assume you have a '96-'99 model Jeep).
Timing is controlled by the engine computer and is non-adjustable. Use a stock 4.0 harmonic balancer.

x2 on the correct indexing of the distributor. Those injectors should also get you fairly close to 12.5:1 in WOT.

You are correct 1999, so no distributorless ignition system, Is there anything else I am missing?
What about the water pump or the thermostat?
Thanks again for all your help.

I have a Flowkooler water pump, Robertshaw 180* t'stat, and OEM 2-row HD radiator. The engine runs as cool as a cucumber. You can buy the water pump and t'stat from

That flowkooler.com website has not been working. I see they sell them at Summit though.
So is there anything else that comes to mind, that I might need to check?

What about plugs? Do I need to run hotter plugs?
Thanks

You should be able to run the OE heat range plugs, DO NOT! run hotter plugs or you'll see first hand what detonation does to pistons!, if you have increased compression you'll need to run a COLDER plug, IIRC some of the guys are running the old style non projected tip plugs and doing fine?, NO on the "hotter plugs".
