i have a 96 cherokee and i recently stroked the motor to a 4.5..everything seemed great..i drove it to work and as i pulled in it stalled started right back up drove a bit stalled again and started right back up backed in up to park and it wanted to stall again...i made it home fine that day got to a friends house drove it around and it started stalling again..so i pulled into his driveway and it stalled and wouldnt start back up. i went back an hour or so later and it started up..i backed out put it in drive and it stalled again and wouldnt start..and yesterday and today it did it a few times too, but most of the time now it wont start back up, whereas before it would stall and startup no problem..it seems to be mainly wen the motor warms up..idk what else to try...

i just replaced cps and it didnt fix.
i backed out the pcm screws because ive read that fixed stalling for some ppl, but that didnt work
ive cleaned all the grounds looked evrything over and it all seems fine.

there was a code wen i first started driving but it went away, now theres a code but im almost positive it is because i was unpluging some sensors

could it be ignition coil? because the way it seems to heat up wen it starts to stall

start with the basics.
fuel - is there fuel at the rail?
air - is the intake or exhaust blocked (rodent's nest or fouled catalytic converter respectively)
spark - are you getting spark?
timing - I assume didn't jump a tooth on timing since it runs then doesn't.

My odds are on clogged fuel filter.
