SERPENTINE BELT ROUTING???? HELP!!!

Hey Jeepers,
Well my engine is in, but the mechanic is stumped by the serpentine belt routing. He's done lots of Jeeps, but he can't remember the correct path on mine. He's tried the dealer and other sources, but he says mine has eight pulleys to thread through/around and he wants to make sure it's right. Mine is a '94 XJ with the only external change being the '99-up intake and power steering. Does this change add a pulley to the stock seven? Can someone draw me a routing chart? HELP SKIPPER!!!!!

Thanks,
Todd

Serpentine belt routing can be kind of dynamic, especially when you start changing things.

I think we can help if you post a picture of your setup, otherwise just try to find a diagram that has your same pulley setup, either in a manual or online...

all you have to do is make sure the belt is on the pulleys right (ex grooves on grooved pulleys and smooth on smooth) and make sure the belt is more than 1/2 way around the pulleys.

The '99+ intake and PS pump combination does add a tensioner pulley. I removed the idler pulley so I have mine set up like this:
