Let's see your Jeeps...
We have two. Both are 4.0L, but the YJ is the one that is going to be the recipient of the stroker one day.
'95 YJ - PREDATOR
'88 MJ - Mighty Joe

Mines in development... but here is a pic of it before i hit a deer:
It doesnt look that pretty anymore as when i replaced the header panel i only was able to find one from a grey jeep
Basically all stock, except for basically replacing everything engine wise... Runs like a dream now with no oil leaks.

daaaammm MJ's are representin' yo here's mine:

It's an 89 that I restored with a Jasper Renix not stroked yet.
Here's my Stroker (the red MJ is the same as above before I painted it in my driveway):

An old shot of my YJ which currently is a roller for the 3rd or 4th time (drive trains been pulled and swapped a few times) and has had a 4.2 a 4.0 and a 4.6 stroker. The same YJ is in my avatar pic, if you're wondering the avatar shows the TJ round headlight grille conversion which is how it sits empty engine bay and all.

The Silver Mustang next to it is my old 01 Cobra DOHC 32 valve 4.6 V8 it was a screamin fast car.
My Familly DD bought for $850 with a new 4.0 in it:

I have had this CJ-7 since 1989-- it had 36K on the ticker and looked like it rolled right out of the showroom-- now has 300+!
I bit the bulle3t in '95 and installed a Electromotive "JFI" kit-- it was a two barrel TBI kit with distributorless ignition. It was far above what the carb was giving me as far as smooth operation and reliability. It did however give a little less off the line throttle response. I was OK wth t hat as it would now run up-side-down when 4 wheelin`.
In 2004 the JFI computer when on the fritz, again, and they wanted $2K+ to outfit me with a stand alone system, as they were no longer supporting the JFI system. Sooo I did a little web searching and found the Strokers yahoo! Group. I was told to get a head, manifold set, and complete wiring from a 91-95 Jeep 4.0 and slap it on my 258. Jeep life hasn't been the same since.
the last time I was in Paragon-- on Rattler, January 2007
Towing this thing with a non-overdrive transmission (T-18), 3.31 axles, and 34" TSL's would have been unbearable without the 4.0 head swap. I can do 65 up moderate interstate hills while towing this 1000 lb camper.

It is a '89 MJ swb that is getting a '95 4.0 AW-4/NP242 combo. It's getting a HP D44 axle and a rear 9"axle with 5.13 gears. Both axles will be trussed and built strong. There will be noticably influenced with JeepSpeed and desert technologies. About 6" of lift anf 35"-37" tires will be used,
This is a photo chop kind of like what I'm building.
I'm extending the cab to use 2dr XJ doors.
Fenders will be cut for maximum uptravel with dramatically raised flares in the front.
It has 14" of clearance from the 33" tire to the flare with 6" of lift.
The rear will get a custom box basicly like this.
Here is what it looked like when I bought it.
Here is the view of it coming at you.
A side view of my deer slayer bumper on my 95 parts XJ.

+
I have 2 XJ's I'm using for parts. It will have all the creature comforts and will also be fully caged.
A stroker will be the icing om the cake.

OK, guess it's time for this old man to learn how post pics on a forum. Here goes.
The start of all this crazy Jeep stuff. A 1990 cherokee 140k miles. Engine donated to stroker project, the rest was scrapped.
My current daily driver. 1998 cherokee 150k miles. 31" procomp's, 3.5"-4" of lift.
My son's current daily driver. 1994 wrangler 125k miles 2.5L. 32" tsl's, 3.5" lift
Ok, that wasn't so bad. Maybe this forum stuff ain't so bad.

WOW! looks way better now than when you bought it. Nice work. By the way, what was going on with the rear axle, it looks uncentered in the wheel well in the picture when you got it, better now though. Again, nice ride.
