Good Price for a short block?

I had my head resurfaced, cleaned and fluxed awhile ago when I put my new cam in...and then developed a sweet rod knock...The shop has a 4.6L short block for sale for 2200 Canadian minus my core. I'm still waiting for all the details but it is a long rod stroker in an '88 Block. I would be replacing my '98 Cherokee short block with it. First of all, what do I need to ask to determine if it's a good price? Will it even bolt right up or will I have problems? Any help, advice, ideas or even opinions are appreciated, Thanks!
