4.6 build for the CJ7

I’ve been reading and researching for weeks, and reading for months now and thought I would go ahead and post something up here just to get a thread started.
I appreciate all of you guys and your patience. If something has already been answered a hundred times please feel free to tell me what to search on and I will.
Here’s the deal. I’ve got an 82 CJ7 and am in the process of putting together a stroker. I’ve read all the recipes out there and believe I have decided on the 4.6 recipe Cheromaniac has posted on his site.
Jeep 4.2L 3.895" stroke crank
Jeep 4.2L 5.875" rods
Speed Pro H825CP +0.030" bore pistons
9.6:1 CR
CompCams #68-231-4 206/214 degree camshaft
Ported HO 1.91"/1.50" cylinder head
Mopar/Victor 0.043" head gasket
0.081" quench height
Ford 24lb/hr injectors with adjustable FPR or MAP adjuster for '87-'95 engines, Ford 24lb/hr injectors with stock 49psi FPR for '96 and later engines
264hp @ 4900rpm, 324lbft @ 3500rpm
I’m trying to make the best with what I have available, which is:
A ‘93 XJ long block minus all pulleys, accessories, etc. when I bought this block, I also got a free ‘87 4.2 long blocks. As luck would have it, I found a guy with a blown 93 block and a recently rebuild head that I picked up for 250. I have the ECU, A/C compressor, brackets, everything but a harness. So now I have (2) 7120 heads along with (2) '93 intake manifolds and (2) stock headers.
AND I picked up a couple AX-15s one with 90k on it and the other was free because it’s seized. I will use the locked up one for experimenting. But that’s another story.
So let me know if I’m on the right track here. I’m going to tear into the two blocks this weekend and inspect what I have to work with. From my readings in the FAQs it looks like I’m going to have a 4 counterweight crank to work with. I’m told #1 cylinder had a knock so I’m not sure how that will affect what I have to work with. I have no idea what my pulleys and accessories should look like but I’m getting ahead of myself.
I’m looking for any reference manual recommendations for the 93 motor I have to use during my rebuild. (Chilton’s?) After reading all of Silver XJ’s build I’m pretty much freaked out about this whole process I’m getting ready to dive into, but what the hell maybe I will get lucky.
Praying to the HP gods everyday until this project is done!
So after I determine my block, crank, and rods are worthy donors I plan to find a machine shop and get my crank checked, the bore / hone, hot tank stuff, and all that good stuff. What I’m looking for is any gotcha’s that guys ran into putting a stroker in their CJ’s.
I know I will need a fuel pump and YJ pedal assemblies for my hydraulic clutch and EFI.
Plans:
1. Machine work on crank and block
2. Purchase pistons, bearings, freeze plugs, etc.
3. Install the AX-15 and clock the Dana 300 on the running 258
a. Install YJ pedal assembly, master cylinder for clutch, etc.
b. Twin stick the d300
c. Freshen up both the ax15 and d300 with gaskets, seals bearings, new clutch, resurface flex plate, etc.
4. Continue buying the parts I find I need for pulley’s, etc. radiator, electric fans maybe, air intake
5. Pull the front grill pull the 4.2 stick in the 4.6 and start learning how fuel injection works!
6. Buy all you guys beer for helping me along the way.
If I do have an '87 4 weight crank I won’t need an adapter/spacer for the balancer correct?
I will snap plenty of photos. Probably gonna take me a couple months to get all this done on the weekends not to mention the funds. Going to have to sell a kidney, but it will be worth it. lol
