Bolt torque vs. temperature

How much does the ambient temperature effect bolt torque? Its 40* out and I am concerned that the temperature may adversely effect the torque. I'm concerned with the rod, main caps and head bolts.

I've assembled engines all thrue the year from freak'n cold in the shop to sweat'n your ass off and never gave it a first thought? much less a second one, the only thing I ever gave any consideration to was the head bolts, I always tried to torque them before lunch and let the gasket "relax" and come back later and check them again (unless it's a "torque to yield" or "* turn torque"), they always will tuns some, never had a head gasket blow.
The only issues we ever saw due to temperature were machining components at the extremes of the year and then they were tight or loose!
